Learn about wave dynamics and beach characteristics and how to identify hazards. We will practice side surfing, launching and landing through the surf zone safely, bracing on breaking waves and holding position.
In order to access many places on the coast, negotiating the surf zone is required. Also an emergency landing may be needed.
In this class you will learn:
Surf zone dynamics, etiquette, and hazards, group communication and safety in surf, how to swim in surf, how to brace in breaking waves, launching and landing techniques, basic boat control and positioning on the wave

Cost $125 Plus 6% booking company fee. (Minimum enrollment 2 - Max 3 students)
Location: Pending conditions, this class will take place near Seaside OR. In the event of excessive coastal conditions, location may move south as far as Cascade Head.
