Cross the Columbia while learning navigation skills
We will start the day by preparing charts with the information needed for the day. Such as Tides, Currents, Compass Bearings and running a Vector solution to figure out our headings for the morning. We will then get on the water, following our compass we will head across the river. Once arriving at lunch, we will spend some time planning a return trip.
This is an intermediate navigation class so you should have some familiarity with charts.
Skill Level: Intermediate - Advanced - comfortable paddling in wind and whitecaps.
